BC Seeds, a project of FarmFolk City Folk, is a collective of BC seed producers and seed sovereignty advocates who are working to grow and disseminate locally-adapted, robust, non-GMO seed to the regions in BC. Recent achievements include collaboration on the Bauta Initiative on Canadian Seed Security, the hosting of numerous workshops and the first annual BC Seeds Gathering in November 2012, bringing together seed growers, farmers, advocates and seed enthusiasts to learn, share, access seed cleaning equipment and inspire seed sovereignty in the region.
