Kootenay Permaculture is a centre for research and education in Permaculture & ecological living. We are designing and implementing permaculture principles and techniques at Spiral Farm; a ten acre farm in Winlaw in the Slocan Valley situated in the West Kootenays (near Nelson). The Forest Garden, started in 1993, is one of the oldest forest gardens in Canada. We have been offering the Annual Permaculture Design Course in partnership with Selkirk College at the farm since 2002.
