We want to encourage food security in Rossland BC by promoting gardening, composting, backyard chickens and supporting local producers. Rossland REAL Food volunteers started the Farmer's market and the Community Garden. We also organize the Seed Swap and the Chicken Crawl. We have put on food preservation classes, built bee houses, done garden tours, put on displays at the Fall Fair, organized harvest rescue so fruit didn't attract bears etc etc. Please feel free to share your photos, ask questions and if you have an idea for a project let us know!
