Agriculture and Agri-food Canada's Advance Payments Program is a Federal program that provides farmers with a year and a half operating loan of up to $400,000. The first $100,000 is interest free. The cash advance is calculated based on up to 50% of the anticipated value of the eligible agricultural products that you are producing or have in storage. Advance Payments Program administrators vary by province but are available to support the application process for farmers.
