State of the surface of the cultivable area
Sloped and some mixed grass and weeds mostly at present. Minimal livestock and mixed garden/garlic being grown. Soil is compact in some areas and would need amendment for sure. Deer fencing along one side but would need area fencing depending on crop.
Description and historical use of land available for farming
Previously used as a cedar tree farm. Most trees now cleared although those remaining are quite large and no longer of economic value. We've had a small garden, some garlic and raised a few of our own pigs in the past 2 years. Previously conventional but nothing sprayed or applied to most of the property in last multiple years that would limit organic farming from what we know.

Long-term goal or vision for land
We're a young family with eventual plans of growing more of our own food, getting some chickens, bees, probably some more pigs, mixed fruit and berries and trying to grow more of our own food. We have two young boys and want to create an opportunity for them to be closer to their food production and understand where/how food is created. We also want to give them a super cool place to run around and explore. They are very young at present (2 and 4) and always supervised when outside. We're mostly busy and overwhelmed with the property so want someone who can make use of the land but still allow for space for our eventual growth into farming as we find more time in our lives.
