Farm Project Description
We would like to grow a variety of greenhouse and field veggies, culinary herbs and flowers to attract honeybees. We only use organic methods of growing without the use of chemicals and would like to eventually receive organic certification. We also use permaculture practices that conserve water and soil microbiology.
We would like to grow produce for the local community in a CSA veggie box program and sell to grocery stores. We would also like to have a small farm stand at the roadside if possible. We have our own hand tools, rototiller and a portable polly tunnel greenhouse.
Our farming experience includes 10+ years working in our landscape gardening business establishing and maintaining veggie gardens and fruit trees for our clients. We have experience working in BC Hothouses growing many types of tomatoes, cucumbers and peppers. We also have acquired herbalist certification from Douglas College.
We would like to have a long term lease arrangement as it takes much effort to establish a successful growing area. We also have references from local farmers and can provide their contact info.
