Falling Water Farms is the planning stages of building a Health Canada licensed micro-cultivation Cannabis garden in the South Okanagan/Similkameen. We have been working with Community Futures Okanagan Similkameen to prepare our business plan, parts of which we would be happy to share with any prospective landowners. Falling Water Farms is dedicated to growing the recreational Cannabis industry in the Okanagan by producing clean, organic Cannabis for the consumer. We believe the impact on the environment should be as minimal as possible and are committed to promoting less energy-intensive growing methods; in an industry that uses an incredible amount of it and contributes largely to climate change. We do this because of the climate crisis we all face every day and we feel we are responsible for making dramatic changes in the way we produce and use energy globally, plants like this should not be grown in warehouses or boarded up houses! We are looking for 8,400 ft2 of cleared space that we could build a 30'W x 12'H x 60'L high tunnel hoop house (gravel floor, no concrete) and a 40' shipping container all surrounded by a security fence and cameras. Power & water access would be ideal but we do have some off-grid solutions we can look into. We have a sample site plan we can share with anyone curious and interested in learning more. The location should be discreet, we will not install any signage and our contact information will be for our office space in Penticton to ensure privacy. We look forward to chatting with any prospective landowners that are interested in supporting the emerging craft Cannabis industry.
We are flexible in that we can either plant directly into the ground or into fabric pots above ground. We just need to be able to put up our greenhouse and shipping container storage inside the fenced site.
