General farming (3 years or less) - I grew up on a farm, have tree planted for many seasons, and worked in community gardens as well as my own. I have a MSc but no formal training in farming. I have a lot to learn but a very sincere desire to learn and grow this endeavour every year.

No - I have been preparing for a year and have savings. I would like to develop a partnership soon so that I can budget and invest over the winter to be ready for next year's growing season

Farm Project Description
The name is not yet bonding! I'm a bit of a stickler for names and have more thinking to do around this.
The farm is going to begin very small scale and sell organic vegetables, salad greens, some seasonal wildflowers, as well as pumpkins, squashes etc.
I would love to eventually have a small market, but would start with bringing my produce to restaurants and weekend markets, maybe a roadside stand. Also ideally, I would eventually have a small learning centre and work with schools and other educational initiatives that link children to food, to growing and to the cycles of our seasons. I would love to one day include bee keeping, composting and some other livestock such as chickens or pigs, but would be very willing to grow within the parameters of what the landowners want.
