Jacinda, Organic Farm Management certificate in 2012 from la Chambre d’Agriculture de Bretagne, France. 7 years experience in agriculture and horticulture, including vegetable production vineyard production, marketing and sales. Currently employed as a farm worker and tasting room sales at local vineyard. David, previous career in Mechanical Design, Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Project Management from l‘Universite de Bretagne Occidental, Brest France. 5 years experience in organic agriculture including vegetable and perennial crops. Currently employed as a machine operator at a local vineyard responsible for equipment maintenance and repair. In 2016, we founded Fleur de l’Ile Farm, a small, seasonal market garden. Our goal is to grow quality food for our family, friends and larger community in an environmentally sustainable way. Growing on borrowed land, we have produced 4 seasons of a variety of vegetables, sold at the Comox Valley Farmers’ Market. In 2017, with the arrival of our child, we focused on fall and winter production of a variety of storage crops. We wish to expand our market garden operations and grow year-round. We have much of the equipment necessary, including cold storage, greenhouse and irrigation. We are willing to invest in infrastructure, or work to upgrade existing buildings. Currently the caretakers of a large agricultural property that has recently sold, we are ideally looking for a property with housing (min. 2 bedroom). We have excellent references from both employers and landlords. We are looking forward to meeting with landowners and discussing the opportunities we can bring to your land.
