Apprenticeship - I completed a 5 month apprenticeship on a permaculture off-grid, no-till, permanent raised bed system farm in Judique, Nova Scotia.
Other experience/agricultural/business training - I began helping my parents maintain the home garden and have been doing so for over 10 years. Together, we have planted and grown cherry tomatoes, raspberries, basil, beans, giant sunflowers, poppies, petunias, and fountain grass. I also tend to several indoor plants, including succulents, aloe vera, and climbing plants.

Farm Project Description
I recently completed a 5-month internship at an off-grid permaculture farm where I helped tend approximately one acre of cultivated land. I helped plant and care for starts, learning appropriate sowing techniques, transplanting, harvesting, and packaging of organic vegetables for sale at the farm stand and local farmers markets. I am looking to deepen my understanding of permaculture through an incubator farming opportunity and mentorship. I hope to farm full-time.
