Farm Project Description
I plan to create a market garden of primary vegetables with a few flowers, sold through CSA, farmers markets, and potentially a small amount of wholesale. It will likely be a sole proprietorship, with additional helped hired occasionally. I plan to use some permaculture and regenerative methods, with a no dig approach with intercropping and succession cropping. I hope to specialize in crops that produce early or late in the season, as well as overwintering crops, although main season crops will be a large part of the operation.
Finally, I hope to use sustainable energy sources, minimize water use, and minimize other negative environmental impacts of growing, processing and selling.
