Farm Project Description
Calliope Farm will be a small-scale, diversified farm aiming to utilize available land in the most sustainable, ethical, organic and efficient manner possible. To do this, our central enterprise will be pastured poultry moved in chicken tractors across bare land or grass in order to prepare ground for veggie and flower beds, or between in-ground veggie and flower beds once established. Sale of vegetables and cut flowers will provide supplemental income, sold by harvest-share delivery and markets between June and November. This enterprise is fully scalable depending on the acreage available, and provides an excellent profit with minimal investment.
