Farm Project Description
Our young family of six is looking for land to rent/lease in the Longview/High River Area, to continue running our herd of pure plains bison (20 head as of 2025) and grow our bison business venture. We are currently running our bison on land that is limited in size and we are unable to grow. Additionally, the long term arrangement is uncertain as the current landowner may sell his land in the near future and we want to be prepared so we can continue to run one of the few bison operations in the Alberta Foothills (Foothills County). We have built up a comfortable clientele base thru our relationship with Hartell Homestead. As word gets out, we find we have more and more interest in our product from folks in the area as well as Okotoks and Calgary.

We own our own tractor and flat bed, which we use for winter feeding. A minimum of one automatic waterer is needed, however, two or more would be preferred so we could run two herds and grow our operations.
