Farm Project Description

We are looking for a new long-term home for our farming operation. For the last 7 seasons, we have operated a market garden on 4 acres of leased land. We have farmed as our primary income, growing a wide variety of vegetables, fruits and berries for farmers markets and a CSA program. We are ready to make a change, and would like to find an arrangement where we can live on-site at the place where we farm. We'd be delighted to hear about potential farm sales, rent-to-own or transition arrangements, but would be just as pleased to find a good, stable farm lease where we can live and work for a few years. Some "musts" for us include on-site housing and access to potable water for washing and electricity. We are open to collaboration and are experienced with sharing land and group living situations. We'd love to work together with other farmers to have a diverse offering. We like to grow vegetables, flowers, small fruits, berries and fruit trees, and seeds for gardeners. We are attracted to a homesteading type of lifestyle, and are familiar with the business side of farming too. Right now, we're hoping to strike a balance between the two, potentially by sharing the load with like-minded folks.
