Farm to School BC Kamloops Regional Hub

Farm to School BC is a program that brings healthy, local and sustainable food into schools across British Columbia and provides students with hands-on learning opportunities that develop food literacy, all while strengthening the local food system and enhancing school and community connectedness. Farm to school activities differ by school, but always include the following three elements: - Healthy, Local Food - Hands-on Learning - School & Community Connectedness Farm to School BC is organized into eight Regional Hubs, each coordinated by a local Community Animator, advised by an Advisory Committee and supported by a network of stakeholders. The current Regional Hubs are: - Capital Region (School Districts 61, 62, 63, 64) - Central Island Region (School Districts 68, 69, 70) - Kamloops Region (School Districts 73, 83) - Northwest Region (School Districts 52, 54, 82) - North Central Region (School Districts 28, 57, 91) - Sunshine Coast (School District 46) *pilot - Surrey Region (School District 36) - Vancouver Area Region (School Districts 38, 39, 44, 45, 48)
