Farm Project Description
Republic Heirlooms is a vegetable and flower propagator who specializes in heirloom tomatoes. In 2021 we hosted an 8-week, grower direct, pop up Spring nursery event which included vegetable seedlings, bedding plants & perennials.
Republic Heirlooms’ vision is to establish a Nursery + Interactive Farm Market which supplies the community with the resources and knowledge to confidently grow their own food.
Through retail sales, the Nursery portion of the business will provide the community with agricultural input options which are tailored for the local climate.
The interactive market garden will exhibit these inputs and display various crops, growth phases, growing techniques and solutions. The market garden is designed to educate and inspire consumers into producing successful harvests at home, as well as contribute to the local food system via retail farm sales of the garden outputs.
