I operate an small scale herbal business called The Foraging Magpie. I make herbal products from mainly native medicinal herbs. I organically grow & sustainably forage majority of the herbs I work with. I also grow plant starts for my other business The Gardening Magpie, where I design personalized medicinal herb gardens for my clients. Alongside designing & maintaining ornamental gardens/veggie gardens. I want to produce MORE high quality local organic medicinal herbs. They will be used for my herbal practice (making products), material for hosting workshops and selling live & dried herbal bouquets at the market. I have established potted perennials ready for transplant. I have all my seed stock saved for my selected medicinal herbals. I’ve also got all seed starting equipment & pots needed for my plan. Another factor to this project is having onsite drying & processing space availability. If this is not an option then I would have to look into renting a space in the local area depending on where the land opportunity is located. Essentially though, this space could be a dry clean building/room or basement (I’m defiantly open to cleaning/rearranging a possible space for use). What I need is a space to bring my harvests to process & dry. Once they are dry I can process them farther & put into dry storage for packaging or medicine making processes. I am a creative & down to earth individual that wants to help empower individuals to understand how they can support their selves with the plant realm. I’m excited to see what opportunities can come from this land matching experience.
