Farm Project Description

We are looking for an opportunity to establish a small regenerative farm in the Kootenay region. Our aim is to build a community focused business from the ground up with a focus on restoring landscapes, wildlife habitat and food security. I'm currently studying soil microbiology through the Soil Food Web School with Dr Elaine Ingham and have aspirations of becoming a soil consultant for the area once I have completed my training. I'm looking for an opportunity to practice regeneration and contribute to our local community through food, education and job creation. My partner is studying Horticulture and Landscape design and will be completing her diploma after finalising the last few subjects. She has a passion for plant and animal care, vegetable and herb production as well as baking, and would love to share this with the community. We are looking to find a site to build a plan around, and this will depend upon the sites needs, landscape, location and infrastructure.
