State of the surface of the cultivable area

Currently in production. 30" by 100' beds, approximately 80 beds currently in production. Soil has been amended organically with low-till practices for 7 years and is quite fertile. Past soil tests available. During winter it is partially tarped, partially cover-cropped, partially left as is (late crops and weeds)

Description and historical use of land available for farming

One acre has been cultivated as organic market garden since 2015. It was hay field and cow pasture for as long as anyone can remember before that.

Food production. Ideally organic, regenerative agriculture, market gardening. We've set up a fair bit of farming infrastructure and would like to see someone farm the plot. It has been a very productive market garden. We'd love to see someone carry on in a similar fashion.

Soil details
  • Texture - silty loam (I think) with clay about 18" down. 18% organic matter
  • Sloping - very gentle slope, ditches on either side of field help with drainage
  • Thick topsoil - about 18" with high organic matter
  • General fertility (nutrients) - ph is 6.5-7, fertility is decent, has been producing really nice veggies with annual amendments applied
  • Good drainage - mostly good, a bit soggy in winter/spring
