I'm a beekeeper and the main the product I sell is live bees (nucleus colonies in specific). Winter loss and mortality rate in Alberta is high due to many factors abut one important one is harsh long and frigid winter. To increase the rate of survival I hope I can overwinter them in the Lower Mainland or Vancouver Island where plant hardiness zone is 7 or higher to increase the rate of survival In exchange for the land, which is needed from October to March, I can provide raw honey or pollination services or maybe other arrangement. My partner and I are looking for overwintering about 200 hives.
