Description and historical use of land available for farming

Situated above Slocan Lake with Valhalla views, 10 minutes drive to Silverton and the lake. We purchased the property 7 years ago, it was not farmed, nothing done to the land by the original owners. A lot of rock was left, we put it to use built rock wall, steps, used on pillars on the house. We started our gardens 3 years ago, learning we are newbies, we experimented a lot in the greenhouse, we then built raised beds for outdoor veg gardens, in 2021 we started medicine wheel labyrinth healing circle idea and transplanted over 100 + plant species of medicinal plants for its purpose, work in progress really new to the property. Open to having someone take over, or suggestions otherwise we are open. Plant Hardiness Area zone 4, soil conditions mix of sand/clay we bring in soil, castings, wood chips etc from local sources.

Long-term goal or vision for land

Healing Retreat Center, Herb Farm, Medicinal Aromatic Plant Nursery,  Start-up Retreat Business /Agritourism The properties goal when purchased was to produce a turnkey functional food growing system for purpose of a secondary phase; increase income streams for existing business to grow CBD-rich botanical plants, medicinal herbs and mushrooms, superfoods in which were planned to put into our phyto-rich oil extracts, teas, capsules, tinctures and bulk, and farm to table festive meals. Past years owners were growing both medicinal herbs and culinary herbs, and trialed cannabis for R&D licensing potential.  In 2020, owner-developers did start the trials on cannabis for medical purpose registered license for R&D, testing transitional steps if we will license further into micro processing, or nursery type application for the cannabis sector, with success proving that it is completely possible to turn into a successful cannabis space for future farmers, opportunists, and team leaders to steward the land. All this for a potential business addition to their project, with potential offering start up business mushroom industry, wellness holistic or culinary food sector.
