Training
  • Farm management (3 years+) - We currently provide a CSA Harvest Share and a Farmstand to Our Community. We also provide meat and eggs from free range chickens and ducks. We host community events at the farm, such as our supper club, basketry workshops and a weekly open house farm school.
  • Other experience/agricultural/business training - We Make Raw Goat Cheese from our small Nubian Goat Herd.
Do you have a business plan?
Yes - Please reach out to us about how we hope to contribute to your community!
Do you have financial resources available to start your farm?
Yes - We have work opportunity in the area to transition us into a functional farm. We currently live off grid so much of our up front building is already complete and ready to move.
Do you have access to other financial resources (such as a financial partner, loan, etc.) to start your farm?'
Yes - Anything is welcome to help start and fund our overarching mission, however, we are also able to work toward and earn our goals.

Project

Farm Name
Coco Grove
Farm Project Description

- Community Market Garden (delivery and pickup) Contributing to community food sovereignty is incredibly important to Dylan and I. Providing locally grown produce and other foods to our community would be our focus. - Permaculture Food Forest Inspired Design. We strongly believe in using old methods of cultivating our garden. We currently use a no till, organic layering method to build soil. We use our animals as a way of building soil health to produce great and consistent food for our community. In our new location, we'd like to create a layered edible canopy that creates a food forest for our invested community. - Goat Milk Soap and other Goat Related Products We plan to make goat milk soap for our community to protect our natural surrounding and ecosystems from other harsh hygiene products. - Farm to Fork We'd love to bring our farm to you in a new and exciting way. Reach out to find out more!

Most ground will do us fine! Over three years ago, the two of us took a dried up prairie hill and worked with it to become a productive market garden. Our chickens and rabbits are master composters! They help us keep up with our compost needs. We also raise ducks and goats for pest and land management. Their compost additions are also most welcome!
