There are several apple orchards with mature semi-dwarf Fuji, Jonagold and Gala trees, as well as a grove of producing cherry trees. Gently sloping and open, some of the area between and around the orchards has been planted with various fruit and nut bearing trees, berry bushes, and hedging plants. There is a fenced garden area of about 1/2 acre, with space to add more. a 20' geodesic dome greenhouse supplies tomatoes, cucumbers, and greens to the farm residents.

Description and historical use of land available for farming

The previous owner tried to establish a winery/cidery on the property. The apples are doing well, the grapes less so, hence we replaced a lot of the grapes with other plants. We planted hundreds of fruit/nut trees and berry bushes over the past 10 years, some of which are coming into production, some are still a ways away. There are about 200 producing blueberry bushes. A vegetable garden has been in production for 10 years.
