The Salt Spring Centre of Yoga is a non-profit educational and spiritual retreat centre dedicated to teaching and promoting the core principles of yoga which embody peace, resilience, and belonging. The centre has abundant access to farmland, and is seeking collaborative farmer(s)/gardener(s) to produce fruits and vegetables to support the Centre’s kitchen as well as the broader community. It is essential that all individuals working on the land share a genuine interest in the practices of yoga and self development. If that is you, we can't wait to hear from you!

Description and historical use of land available for farming

The primary land available for farming is in a fenced, established garden and orchard area, and includes access to infrastructure including: irrigation system, hoop houses, seedling glasshouse, walk-in cooler, wash station, and tools. There is also a developing food forest that can be available to a Permaculture-minded farmer. This agreement will involve a shared and collaborative use of land with other gardeners from the yoga centre community. Additionally, there are many other unused areas available on the property for potential new projects, that are aligned with the values and visions of the centre (to be discussed).
