Description and historical use of land available for farming
The original Huxley farmhouse, originally a sheep and bee farm with fruit trees and pollinator plants. Perhaps the oldest agricultural land within the city center with many natural established upper canopy mature trees. An oasis in the desert, William Huxley the original owner founded the Kamloops Naturalist Club, so our property is home to a diversity of indigenous local flora and fauna which we have now fostered as a temperate food forest for 16 years.
