We are looking for an Orchard/Vegetable/Mixed farm for Transfer/Succession/Sale. We would love to understand the business from the current owner/seller. We are open to 1. farm that comes with its required basic machinery and opportunity to connect with ongoing contacts/networks involved in business. 2. farm with opportunity to own and take over current lease contracts. Our initial focus is on understanding the business and to meet break-even. Once we get there, we will plan on diversification of farm by increasing online presence, collaborating with schools/meal programs/local markets, and facilitating farm visits/stays to connect people to land. Our ideas for the future of farm are big, but they will be rooted in and adapted by the understanding and learning as we go. To keep a farm healthy and thriving, we appreciate the dedication and hard work that will go into running a farm and are not inclining on making hasty and ill construed decisions/plans at this initial stage. We are a family of 3 generations and are looking for a place to call home on/close to the farm as well. This would allow us to dedicate more time to the land, involve children in learning, and give our family a healthy nurturing environment. Meanwhile, we do intend to keep our day jobs (which are flexible and online) to support our family so that business invests in business.
