Farm Project Description
We, my partner (m36) and myself (f31) are seeking 1-5 acres to grow medicinal herbs, flowers, and fresh crops mostly fall crops for storage but would like to have a greenhouse for tomato, cucumber, and pepper production.
We would like to raise small livestock such as rabbits, sheep, goats, and chickens for personal use with the potential to share with community as well.
Using regenerative farming methods we wish to work with the land in a way that builds soil fertility and benefits pollinators. We would like to avoid having to be certified organic, but will not be implementing harmful conventional methods into our farm vision.
We plan to raise rabbits for meat products, as well as chickens for meat and eggs. We plan to have goats for milk and cheese making.
Our sales stream would be through local farmers market as well as the possibility of CSA, selling our produce, cut flowers, and fresh/ dried herbs.
