Project

Farm Name
Harmony Homestead
Farm Project Description

The idea for the farm is to have large produce gardens which will be used to sell at local markets, or to customers who want to come see the farm and perhaps join one of many animal therapy sessions. Our hope is to start small with some goats, chickens and ducks as they can generate income via eggs and through young offspring as well. Animals have proven to be very therapeutic for people, and so has gardening. Both give people the opportunity to connect with other life forms that inhabit the world around us, and many people aren't blessed with the unconditional love that animals give us. We hope that as the farm grows, that it could also host educational workshops for people of all ages to learn about organic and regenerative farming. Also, with growth it would be preferable to raise some of the animals for organic meat that could be sold to the wide variety of customers who would surely come to the farm.
