State of the surface of the cultivable area

The property has very mixed terrain with some areas being steeply sloped with exposed bedrock, and other areas that are gently sloping pasture with good soil (tests needed). The property backs on to forest and currently has low cow fencing all around, some of which is currently being replaced. There is a large hay barn used by the landholders, a sizeable machine and equipment shed, and a tractor. This equipment may be available for sharing, depending on the project and farmer involved. The landholders are open to discussing another small shed, workshop, or other infrastructure. After many years of farming on the property (dairy and orchard), and a tough battle to eradicate thistles (!), the soil is in need of some rebuilding.
