Farm Project Description
We are thinking of making fruit purees and roasting nuts from the orchard, to incorporate into homemade ice cream, using the base flavors of vanilla and chocolate. This would be sold at the farmers' market and other events in the area-we'd have some type of food truck that would facilitate this. In the fall, I would make and sell homemade pies using the fruit and nuts from our orchard, for customers' Thanksgiving and Christmas get-togethers. If we are able, raise a few different heritage breeds of laying hens and sell hatching eggs in the spring. Would also like to have a few goats or a couple of milking cows so we can make the ice cream noted above, if possible.
