Farm Project Description
Here is a high level look at what we are trying to start.
Tubman Kennels: Tubman Tough, selling American Bullies, Dog Training. As well as having tested gear for the dogs for sale on a Website. I have the first male and female pedigreed dogs that will start the process. In total I am looking for Two Males and 4 females. Pups range is selling price from 2-6k per pup. Once established pups can sell up in the 20k range with the right pedigree. I am also looking into training for protection dogs to sell to the US market. Once they do through a program the dogs are selling for a significantly higher price.
Space for a dog training facility. With the influx of people getting pets, dog training to support not just the pet but the owner is necessary so that dog shelters do not become full. (Side note, my daughter is a registered counsellor and would offer that level of support to people who are struggling to maintain their chosen dog)
The below will serve two purposes. One raw food for the dogs at the kennel. Two a source of income. Which we would market online and by going to farmers markets to build the name and brand.
Tubman Farm would have the following
Chickens (Free range birds, raised in hoop coops moved across the land)
Ducks (Free range, hoop coop style moved across the land)
Sheep (Free range to keep the grasses shorter for the chickens and ducks)
Pigs (Small number to help supplement)
Would like to have a place to have indoor hydroponics, (Vertical Farming) Using the garden tower system. (I have been running one myself for three years now to supplement my outdoor gardens) Again this would supplement our income as we could sell both online and at markets. Have started to look what it would take to marker to restaurants as there are a high number of eateries in the area.
As I have stated I have more details in the plan I have outlined and would be willing to share once we start to move forward with the process
