Farm Project Description
For the past three years I've been growing a micro farm of primarily chile pepper plants located on site of another local organic farm. I started on 1/32nd of an acre in 2022, doubled to 1/16 in 2023, and last season moved to a new property expanding to .5acre. I took this season off due to travel and other personal reasons and left the property I was on, so now I am looking for the right fit for a long-term partner/home for my micro-farming!
In addition to chile peppers, I am very passionate about intercropping and companion planting, and wanting to take these ideas further with developing some more permaculture ideas. Last year I expanded on growing flowers, herbs, leafy greens, root veggies, beans, corn, etc... running a small but vibrant micro CSA with 10 shares. I have grown for chefs which I want to continue to do, as well as have a farm-stand/market on site, and potentially run a CSA program once again.
I am looking for a space where I can continue to expand, thrive, and feel comfortable exploring permaculture and biodiverse intercropping with a longterm vision. I want a place where I can settle in for at least the next 3-5 years, possibly longer if I am able to plant fruit/nut trees. I'd love to be in a healthy collaborative environment, but need to have landlords/partners that still respect my space and growing techniques and don't overstep our agreements.
I own a small cultivator and a variety of hand tools. I would like to set up a green house for season extension/overwinter crops.

Loamy, well draining, flat, mostly clear. Would prefer not to break into raw/rough grassy unused land or land that has been used for trash/burn piles with metal and plastics in the past. Clean, cultivatable soil is ideal.
