Farm Project Description
Hello, I'm Fernando Medina.
I've gained valuable experience through a six-month internship at Glassen Farms in Nanaimo and have been actively managing my own sheep operation for three months under their guidance in Maple Bay.
My objective is to expand my sheep herd for meat production. I aim to implement sustainable farming practices and enhance multiple pastures, not only improving land quality but also ensuring optimal nutrition for my sheep.
My vision includes continual growth of our operations, community engagement at farmer's markets and events, expansion to butchery enterprises and positive contributions to the local farming community through responsible land stewardship and strategic partnerships.
To accomplish the former I count with the backing from Glassen Farms and a business degree majoring in Marketing. No formal business plan has been produced at the moment but it is on the horizon as demand for lamb meat continues to increase in our customer base.
