Farm Project Description
I am a young, passionate vegetable farmer looking to put my experience and drive into action! I have been farming for the last 11 years in various roles. I have farmed in B.C as well as Ontario! I have held roles ranging from harvester, field manager, farm manager, deliveries, farmers market, CSA manager, marketing and online sales management (I may have missed some!).
I hope to put my passions into play to serve the community around me. I'd love to achieve efficiency and organization in a way that lends to having success in growing crops as well as success in a work/life balance.
I envision growing fresh mixed vegetables/fruits and cut flowers in an organic and regenerative focused way. I'd be thrilled to add dehydrated and processed goods to my inventory such as tea blends, dried herbs, dehydrated tomatoes/onions/soup blends.
I have been planning and preparing to branch off and gain autonomy for a few years now. I have taken several business planning courses, including the Business Boot Camp offered by Young Agrarians and have attended leasing and land matching workshops as well. There is no official business plan created, but the how-to is there and waiting for the right opportunity to get those wheels turning!
