We are all treaty people. Providence Lane Homestead is blessed to be on Treaty 7 territory, home to the Piikani, Stoney-Nakoda, Siksika, Kainai, Tsuut’ina and the Metis people of Region III.
Our homestead is located approximately 30 km north-west of Cochrane, Alberta at an altitude of 4400 feet. We currently farm a small flock of heritage breed and endangered Border Leicester and Cotswold sheep exclusively for their fibre. In 2019, we were certified Animal Welfare Approved by A Greener World. We believe that a high level of animal welfare as well as regenerative land management can foster a greater understanding of and reconciliation with this incredible land we are so privileged to call home. People. Place and Permaculture. . . ish.
