Hello! We are a family of two, soon to be three, with a passion for food and farming. We are very fortunate to live on a beautiful 5 acres in Powell River, and we'd love to see the land come alive to its full potential and feed more people. We started a small market garden last year, however with the incoming baby, we will not have the capacity to continue working the land over the coming years and are looking for someone who would like to take over the market garden in exchange for a share of the crop. It is currently a little under a 1/4 acre, however there is room to double its size, and other possible areas for cultivation too, including the possibility of building a food forest, expanding a small orchard, mushrooms in the wooded area, and poultry. We do not have accommodations on site, however there is the possibility that you could bring your own mobile home to the land. We live on site and are generally quite quiet, however we do host occasional community gatherings on the land, including workshops, ceremonies with Elders, song circles, women's gatherings and other types of wellness focused events for the community.
