Training
  • Farm management (3 years+) - We are Asli (30) and Erman (32), a husband-and-wife team in our 30s, driven by a shared passion for sustainable agriculture and community-oriented business practices. Alongside us is Bilal Aydin (52), an experienced agricultural entrepreneur with over 25 years of expertise in farm management and trading. His extensive knowledge will serve as a strong foundation for our venture.
Do you have a business plan?
Yes - Having previously implemented this model successfully in Turkiye, where we earned a business excellence award, we now aim to establish and grow it in Canada. Together, we bring strategic experience, operational expertise, and marketing strengths to create a sustainable and thriving farming business. Our primary focus will be quail farming, with plans to produce high-quality quail eggs and meat products. Here’s why we chose quails: Health Benefits: Quail eggs are rich in vitamins, amino acids, and antioxidants, making them a sought-after product for health-conscious consumers. Sustainable Production: Quails have a minimal environmental footprint compared to other poultry, requiring less space and resources. Market Viability: With growing demand for specialty poultry products in Canada, quail farming offers significant opportunities for growth. Conservation: Quail farming allows for integration with eco-friendly practices such as organic feed use and reduced waste. In addition to the quail farm, we plan to diversify into complementary agricultural activities, such as cultivating vegetables or herbs, to enhance soil health and expand our product offerings. Furthermore, in the long term, we aim to support our operation by incorporating other poultry species. ***Our plans and production capacity will be adjusted based on the size of the land and enclosed facilities available. Starting with 1,000 quails is a strategic decision, as we are beginning this project from scratch with limited initial resources. However, our experience managing a large-scale 70,000-capacity quail farm, along with other successful operations, demonstrates our capability to expand and scale effectively. These achievements serve as a strong reference for our potential to establish a thriving and scalable farm in British Columbia.
Do you have financial resources available to start your farm?
No - We aim to start with 1,000 birds, leveraging our savings and experience. Our goal is to generate the necessary resources independently to establish the farm. ***Our plans and production capacity will be adjusted based on the size of the land and enclosed facilities available. Do you have access to other financial resources (such as a financial partner, loan, etc.) to start your farm?'
Yes - We plan to start the farm with 1,000 quails, focusing on premium egg production. However, this starting point is primarily budget-driven, as it limits our initial scale. If we secure additional financial resources, we are always ready to significantly expand the farm and its operations. Any additional support or resources would significantly enhance our capacity and production. Therefore, we are currently proceeding with the plan outlined above based on our limited initial resources.

Farm Project Description

-Introduction Our farm is a sustainable and scalable poultry farming project based in British Columbia. Initially focusing on quail farming, we aim to leverage our team's extensive expertise in poultry production and marketing. The farm will start with 1,000 quails, prioritizing premium egg production while remaining adaptable to future expansions based on land size and resources. -Objective The primary goal of our farm is to establish a modern and efficient poultry farm that combines sustainable practices with high-quality production. We aim to supply premium-grade eggs to local and regional markets, support the local economy, and uphold animal welfare standards. -Project Overview Initial Capacity: 1,000 quails producing approximately 250,000 eggs annually. Budget: $10,000 CAD, funded through personal savings, with plans to expand through additional resources or credit if needed. Facilities Required: Enclosed, climate-controlled housing for quails. Storage for feed and equipment. Egg processing and packaging facilities. Our starting capacity is tailored to our current resources, but the farm is designed to scale efficiently as land and resources allow. - Budget Initial Allocation: $10,000 CAD, funded through personal savings. Breakdown: Includes land preparation, facilities, bird stock, and operational costs. Growth Plan: Additional funding through loans or other resources will be sought to scale operations as needed. ***However, starting with 1,000 quails is a strategic choice based on our current resources and initial setup requirements. Any additional support or resources would allow us to significantly expand capacity and production, accelerating the growth of our farm. -Why Us? Our team, led by Asli and Erman Taner, with consulting expertise from Bilal Aydin, has extensive experience in poultry farming. Some of our key achievements include: *Managing a 70,000-capacity quail farm, specializing in large-scale egg and meat production. *Operating a 50,000-capacity red-neck partridge farm, producing high-quality game bird meat. *Developing successful projects involving ornamental birds, free-range chickens, and specialty waterfowl. This track record ensures that we have the knowledge and expertise to manage and grow a thriving poultry farm. -Sustainability and Impact Eco-Friendly Practices: Implementing water-efficient systems and sustainable waste management. Local Economic Support: Partnering with grocers, restaurants, and distributors to provide fresh, high-quality products. Future Scalability: Plans to expand capacity and diversify into other poultry species such as chickens, ornamental birds, and game birds as opportunities arise. -Vision Our vision is to become a leading example of sustainable poultry farming in British Columbia, contributing to the region’s agricultural growth while delivering high-quality products that meet consumer demand. -Call to Action We seek support from the BC Land Matching Program to secure land suitable for our farm. With a strategic plan, proven expertise, and a commitment to sustainability, we are confident that this project will bring value to British Columbia's agricultural landscape.
