Farm Project Description
For the past 2 years I have had a hobby farm with 2 goats, 4 pigs, chickens, turkeys and a couple of livestock dogs. I currently work full time but I am interested in obtaining land to expand my hobby farm into a full time farming business. We currently rent land near Kamloops which my spouse helps run but we are looking for a more permanent location to expand the farm. There is a predator, potentially a cougar, nearby that is currently preying on my animals so this location is not a viable long term solution - I had 2 Emu's but the predator killed both of them.
My long term goal is to have a farm large enough to support my spouse and myself, quit my job and manage the farm full time. My spouse will continue to work part time off the farm to bring in additional income.
