Monette Produce is a leading agricultural operation dedicated to high-quality crop production and sustainable farming practices. We are seeking skilled Equipment Operators to assist in field vegetable operations by efficiently operating and maintaining farm machinery.
Position Overview
Equipment Operators will be responsible for the safe and effective operation of farm equipment to support field preparation, planting, irrigation, harvesting, and other critical agricultural tasks. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. In this role, Operators will gain experience in both organic and convention production practices along with industry leading technologies and implements.
Key Responsibilities
Equipment Operation & Maintenance
• Operate tractors, harvesters, sprayers, and other farm machinery safely and efficiently.
• Perform routine maintenance and minor repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Monitor machinery for issues and report necessary repairs to management.
• Follow safety protocols and company procedures when operating equipment.
Field Operations
• Assist with land preparation, planting, and crop care using precision equipment.
• Support irrigation setup and maintenance.
• Operate harvest machinery to ensure timely and efficient crop collection.
• Aid in post-harvest field cleanup and preparation for the next planting cycle.
Compliance & Record Keeping
• Maintain records of equipment usage, maintenance, and repairs.
• Follow all food safety regulations and best practices in field operations.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and industry safety standards.
Team Coordination & Communication
• Work closely with farm managers and field crews to complete daily tasks efficiently.
• Communicate any operational issues, equipment malfunctions, or safety concerns.
• Assist in training other team members on proper equipment use and safety procedures.
Qualifications & Skills
• Experience operating agricultural equipment (tractors, harvesters, sprayers, etc.)
• Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance and minor repairs.
• Understanding of farm operations, irrigation, and crop production is a plus.
• Ability to follow safety protocols and operational guidelines.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.

Position Details
• Full-time seasonal, 40 hours per week minimum
• Pay: $25-30/hr
• Monday to Friday, weekends as needed
• Location: Cache Creek, BC.
