Farm Project Description
Red Blue Sea is a land-based seaweed farm, using the tumble culture method to produce food grade, high protein, edible dulse (Palmaria Mollis) with a few revenue streams to pursue. 1) Our primary market will be fresh delivered dulse to local customers such as restaurants, green grocers, farmers markets and direct to consumer. With remaining biomass, we pursue shelf stable options like smoked dulse flakes (team up with local fish smokeries) and our flagship dulse ketchup. 2) As a backup or alternate market Red Blue Sea will produce fermented bio-stimulant for local growers, wineries, gardeners, farms and municipalities. 3) Finally, Red Blue Sea Feed will take the remaining biomass, stabilize by drying- shred and sell to local meat producers, hobby farms or for pet food.
