Farm Name
Tamshire Farm
Farm Project Description
We currently have a small-scale pork and piglet farm on 12 acres of shared, rented land (shared with landlords and multiple other tenants). We are using approx 1.5 acres for our farm operations.
We would like to expand, and also re-locate as our current situation is not ideal for us. The farm has proved to be successful for us as we are unable to keep up with the demands for pork and piglet sales. We believe we could continue to do well with a larger property. We would prefer to live on-site, but would also be okay to just rent land for our animals and/or farm operations.
We currently have 7 sows and 1 boar and are hoping to increase to 12 sows by the end of 2025. Would also be interested in having other animals eg sheep, chickens, turkeys, cattle, depending on size of land. We would like to enter the weekly farmer markets in Duncan and surrounding areas.
