Farm Project Description
Vert2Grow is an Urban Vertical Farm in Vancouver. This initial location in Vancouver, is the first step in the business plan to prove the concept of growing food in the city. The expansion we are now trying to make is to expand our growing potential while reducing our land costs. We want to build five 1000 sqft structures on a property within the lower mainland to help service our local community. The idea is to do a profit share with the property owner where they supply the land and we supply the structures and farming labour. We will be growing Leafy Greens, Herbs and Mushrooms in this location to supply Vancouver and the lower mainland. Our mission is to bring back local food production to BC so we can have a more sustainable, affordable and resilient food system.
At the Vancouver location we have dialed in our growing environment, process and sales strategy. We are now ready to make a move to the next step to help feed more people here in BC.
