Farm Project Description
This is a temporary farm project, with a planned life span of one year. The farm will produce cut flowers, vegetables, and culinary/medicinal herbs using organic growing methods. Crops will be irrigated by drip and overhead irrigation. The soil will be built and supplemented by compost, organic fertilizers, and mulch. Compost will also be built onsite with crop refuse. Processing and storage of product are arranged to happen offsite unless facilities are available onsite.
Approximately 1/8 of an acre will be allotted to garlic. Another 1/8 of an acre will be allotted to other produce, flowers, and herbs. If allowed on site, a temporary greenhouse will be raised to begin salad greens early in the spring, and then rotate to hot crops. Majority of the crops will be grown outdoor.
