    Description and historical use of land available for farming

    Current owners of 4 years have not used land for anything. Previous owners (of 60 years) used land for vegetable gardens, livestock including cattle, other details not known. Land has not been used in likely a decade, possibly longer. Old underground irrigation exists, condition unknown but may be able to be hooked into well or other water source.

    Yes - can drive vehicles from road onto field easliy. Gap in fence posts exists where gate could be installed
    Electricity
    No - Currently none to property but owners are open to setting it up. Well is powered by and serves house on adjecent property (same owners, owner lives in house).
    Cell Service
    No - The slocan valley has no cell service from Playmor junction to Slocan City.
    Long-term goal or vision for land

    It would be great to have the land used and cared for, and to provide a space for housing/ farming. Open to a long term arrangement for the right person(s). ACAB, Queers to the front.

    Yes - Field is in the floodplain of the slocan river. May flood every 100 years, though climate change may shift that. Forest fires also occur in the area. Field is relatively safe and would be made safer if active irrigation occurred. Landowner is taking fire smarting precautions and maintenance ongoingly.

    • Good drainage - Drainage seems very good.
    • Unknown - Very likely needs some building, more in some areas than others. In some areas not much grows besides sparse weeds. Elsewhere there is dense grass and wildflowers, an area with likely better soil.
