Long-term goal or vision for land
The landholders are seeking a farmer(s) who would like to raise or graze animals and/or grow ground crops using organic or biodynamic farming techniques. They are open to and interested in collaboration and/or mentorship. The landholders currently live on the property but will likely be out-of-province for several years starting in November 2027, with an uncertain return date. They could be interested in collaboration, separate use of spaces, or a lease-to-own/transition agreement down the line. They are open to having a farmer come onto the land while they still live on the property and/or afterward. Currently, the landholders breed yaks for fibre and meat, and grow mixed vegetables, fruit, and flowers on their 1/4 acre garden. They also raise 10 beef cattle. The landholders have a background in biodynamic farming and would like to support closed-loop nutrient cycles on the property.
