About Me I am a second-generation farmer and a mother of three, raised in Abbotsford on a blueberry farm. Farming has always been a central part of my life, and I am now actively seeking to return to it as both a livelihood and a way of life for my family. I have always loved farming for the challenge, the connection to the land, and the deep sense of purpose that comes from producing food for the community. A key motivation for me is passing this knowledge and appreciation on to my children and helping them develop the same respect for farming, hard work, and stewardship of the land. My family remains deeply rooted in agriculture in Abbotsford. My father and brother continue to farm locally, along with other members of my extended family. This gives me access to a strong support network of experienced growers, practical help, and local knowledge, which I believe is an important foundation for long-term success. I am eager to learn, committed to working hard, and excited about the opportunity to contribute to and grow an established organic farming operation. My Farming Experience I grew up farming blueberries in Abbotsford and have firsthand experience with the seasonal rhythms and demands of berry production, including field work, harvest periods, and the realities of running a productive farm. While stepping away from day-to-day farming in recent years, I have remained closely connected to agriculture through my family and continued to follow developments in organic and sustainable farming practices. I am looking for land with a long-term vision to develop a diversified, certified-organic operation focused on lower-labour, scalable crops such as garlic, root vegetables, brassicas, and storage crops, supplying grocers, co-ops, and organic distributors. My plan involves using agritech to allow me to build soil health by growing a diversify of crops and strengthen the overall resilience of the farm while remaining aligned with organic principles.
Will to work with land owner to determine, open to variety of opportunities.
