The cultivable area was previously hayed and is currently in grass/pasture with significant native vegetation. The land has been mostly undisturbed in recent years. Terrain is hilly with gentle slopes, and there are flatter benches suitable for cultivation or terracing. Some large rocks are present, and access for vehicles and small equipment is available. We are seeking a farmer who will care for the land using environmentally responsible, stewardship-focused practices, without the expectation of major land alteration.
The land available for farming is a portion of a larger 50-acre property in Interior British Columbia. Historically, the area offered for farming was used for hay production and has since been maintained primarily as grass and pasture with native vegetation. In recent years, the land has been largely undisturbed, allowing natural plant communities to re-establish. The property includes creek and well access, and the terrain consists of gentle slopes with flatter bench areas that have potential for cultivation, perennial planting, or managed grazing. The land is well suited to low-impact, stewardship-focused farming approaches that respect existing natural features while supporting productive use.
We’re seeking a farmer for mixed-use, stewardship-focused farming. The land is open to market gardening, perennials, livestock, or agroforestry, ideally serving local markets. We hope the farmer will care for soil, vegetation, and creek areas, and while we’re generally hands-off, we’re open to collaboration or partnership for the right idea.
