Other experience/agricultural/business training - Our backgrounds combine practical hands-on work, systems planning, and business management. While we are not from multigenerational farms, we have spent significant time developing a commercial-scale regenerative farm plan focused on crop rotations, soil health, water efficiency, and livestock integration. I bring 10+ years of experience in construction and site supervision, including project planning, logistics, equipment operation, safety management, and working to schedule and budget. I have also transitioned into technical and analytical roles, which has strengthened my ability to model systems, evaluate risk, and make data-driven decisions. My wife, Angela, has an MBA and senior-level experience in project management and operations, including managing complex projects, budgets, timelines, and teams. Together, we approach farming as both a biological system and a business, with a strong emphasis on stewardship, planning, and long-term viability.
Do you have a business plan?
Yes - Yes. We have a detailed farm business and production plan that outlines crop selection, rotation, regenerative practices, capital requirements, labor needs, storage and post-harvest handling, and multiple sales channels. The plan is designed to be adaptable depending on the specific land, water access, and infrastructure available, and can be shared and refined collaboratively with a land partner once a potential match is identified.
Do you have financial resources available to start your farm?
Yes - Yes. We have personal savings available and access to financing, and are prepared to invest in equipment, infrastructure, and operating costs appropriate to the scale and characteristics of the land we secure. We also have a phased plan to access government cost sharing that can be taken up by either us or the land owner depending on who may retain the capital in the event that the land lease is terminated. We are more than happy to help land owners understand the grants/cost sharing programs available through the government, and when they should be applied for.
Do you have access to other financial resources (such as a financial partner, loan, etc.) to start your farm?'
No - Potentially, depending on the land and infrastructure involved. We are interested in strategically using low-interest loans and applicable grants or cost-share programs (e.g., for fencing, water infrastructure, or soil health improvements) where appropriate, but are not dependent on external investors to begin farming.

Farm Project Description
We are planning a small commercial regenerative farm focused on rotational vegetable production and managed sheep grazing. Primary crops include garlic, potatoes, and winter squash, supported by cover crops and grazing to build soil health, improve water retention, and reduce external inputs. We will be following organic practices, though organic certification will be dependent on the land history and financial benefit of pursuing certification.
Our goal is to steward the land responsibly, produce high-quality food, and operate a financially viable farm that leaves the soil in better condition over time.

Duration of the desired agreement
1-5 years. Minimum duration depends on costing agreement. Do you want someone to help you build out a regenerative farm on your property? We're willing to help and move on! Do you live in a desirable location and are looking for long term partners? We would love to take you up on that opportunity! The more permanent capital we invest in the farm the longer the lease term we would require.

Preferred current state of the surface of the cultivable area
Open to land that is currently fallow, in pasture/hay, or previously farmed, provided soils are suitable and there is opportunity for regeneration. Fenced exterior and irrigation will be necessary.
Open to landowner residing on property
Yes
Need farm buildings
Yes - We will require a produce storage, curing structure, and equipment storage, as well as a 3 sided structure for sheep shelter. This does not have to be present initially.
Need fenced land
Yes - We are open to installing fencing.
Need farm machinery and tools
Yes - Not needed, but are happy to work out a deal if equipment exists on the property.
Need established water source and infrastructure
40-60 GPM through well, licensed surface water, or irrigation district connection.
Need on-site housing
Yes - Optional. We are open to on-site housing, mobile home site, or off-site housing nearby.
Production type
Vegetable - Garlic, Potatoes, Winter Squash
Livestock - Sheep - Sheep byproducts (wool, manure). We use sheep for nutrient cycling and addition through imported hay, not meat production.
Flower - Would like to eventually encourage wildflower populations outside of cultivation areas to support bee health, eventually.
Bees - We would like to to experiment with beekeeping eventually (Horizontal Hives, improving bee genetics and health), though this is not part of our business plan initially.
Type of agriculture
Organic -
Soil needs
Well-drained soils suitable for vegetable production; open to a range of soil types with potential for improvement through regenerative practices.
Will acquire commercial insurance
Yes - Yes — we are willing to carry commercial farm insurance and name the landowner as additionally insured.
