Location: Farmers on 57th, 780 W 57th Ave, Vancouver, BC V6P 1S2
Terms: Full time, short term. Flexible start and end dates. Terms must occur between late April until end of August. Must qualify for Canada Summer Jobs Program by being between 15 and 30 years of age at the start of the employment, as well as be a Canadian citizen, permanent resident, or person to whom refugee protection has been conferred.
Rate: $18.00/hr to start
About The Role
The successful applicant will team up with the farm staff and volunteers in market garden operations, and program coordination. With training, you will lead teams of volunteers in field work, engage with the community (including site residents and staff, CSA members, visitors and neighbours of the farm), and support farm operations. Some farm experience is an asset, but not essential. Key is that you are interested in learning how we farm, confident you can do hard physical work up to five days a week, and into helping the Farmers on 57th community grow.
