We would like to be able to use grazing/haying land this season though we are very well aware that farmland requires ongoing maintenance and attention to be productive. We are currently investing $140+/acre of custom fertilizer and gypsum to our 700 acres in production, based on current soil testing. We place great weight on soil health and recognize the ongoing investment required.
Being able to use some of the leased land and simultaneously begin rehab work is feasible.
